Our Story

Paperman
Once upon a time, a man ditched the daily grind of city life and set sail for something real. Trading the subway for sunshine and stress for soul.

Inspired by the novel Don’t Stop the Carnival, Norman Paperman lives on in spirit through our name — and in every good cup we serve.
Our Paperman, a food & drink guru landed in the Cayman Islands and teamed up with a local family.

Together, they brewed up something special: a neighbourhood coffeehouse where the high energy of the city met the laid-back pace of island life.
All grounded in great coffee, good food and the kind of welcome you don’t forget.

It started simply — one little shop, a handful of great sandwiches and coffee worth slowing down for.

The vibe caught on. The menu grew. The regulars rolled in and stuck around. What began as one cozy café has grown into three beloved spots across the island.
Eighteen years later, the rhythm hasn’t changed. Our founding Paperman may have stepped back, but his legacy lives on — in the hands of his local partners and in the warm welcome of every barista behind the counter.

Whether you’re here for your morning ritual, your midday reset or your everyday escape from the grind - we’ve got you.
Welcome to your coffeehouse.

Our Coffee

Locally Roasted. Island Crafted.

A good cup of coffee starts with great beans. But around here, it’s about more than just the brew.
From the early days of our little café, we knew we wanted to do things differently. To bring city-quality coffee to the island, without losing the laid-back spirit that makes Cayman home.

So we took it one step further and began roasting our own beans, right here at home.

Sourced from farms around the world, our green beans arrive full of potential. We roast them in small batches at our Walker's Road location, dialling in every note and nuance to get that perfect Paperman’s flavour. Bold, balanced and always fresh.
No fuss. No middlemen. Just great coffee, roasted by people who care as much about the craft as they do about the community.

It’s our way of keeping things real. Staying connected to the process, the people, and the place where it all began...

Because for us, coffee isn’t just about a pick-me-up. It’s about slowing down, tuning in and finding your moment.
That’s the Paperman’s way.
